The Socialist Parliamentary Group has registered this Wednesday an amendment to the proposal to reform the

Organic Law of the Judiciary

where it imposes a period of three months on the General Council of the Judiciary to appoint the two magistrates of the Constitutional Court.

According to government sources reported to EL MUNDO, the amendment registered by the socialists in the

Congress of Deputies

foresees that these three months of term begin to count from the expiration of the mandate of the outgoing magistrates, that is, from June 12.

In this way, with the approval of the aforementioned amendment, the governing body of the judges is obliged to appoint the magistrates of the court of guarantees before September 12.

The Executive thus prevents the Judiciary from delaying in the appointments that will facilitate

Moncloa

's ideological turnaround in the TC.
