Kjell Andersson believes that the wolf has jumped over the game fence, despite the County Administrative Board replacing and inspecting it.

According to the County Administrative Board, it is the animal owner who is responsible for keeping the fence in good condition, something you can apply for compensation for.

- The idea is absolutely that the wolves should not be able to get over.

But to guarantee that it did not happen is difficult.

If the fences are in good condition, it is unusual for them to get in, says Sara Sundin at the County Administrative Board in Stockholm.

Follow to the yard where the attack took place in the video.

Warning for sensitive viewers.

Lonely wolf

It is probably a lone wolf that carried out the attack, according to Sara Sundin.

- And most likely it is a wolf from Sjundareviret in that this is where the attack took place, she says.

Now the DNA has been collected and will be analyzed to find out where the wolf comes from.

No protection hunt

It has previously been decided on protection hunting in Södertälje due to wolf attacks, but that should not be relevant now, according to Sara Sundin.

- Protection hunting is used if you really assess that there is an obvious risk of serious injury, such as deviation from normal and that you see a pattern.

We have not seen that here.

Wolf attacks happen from time to time - unfortunately.

If there are repeated attacks in the same area and if you see an unwanted behavior in the wolf, the County Administrative Board usually receives protection hunting applications from animal owners, but no such application has been received yet.
