• The maintenance of certain health measures to fight against Covid-19 was at the heart of the debates in the National Assembly at the start of the week.

  • Among the points discussed, the reintegration of caregivers suspended because of their non-vaccination was not there.

An absence reproached to the deputies of the Nupes by their voters.

  • In reality, it was the President of the Assembly who deemed the amendments tabled by the opposition for this reinstatement to be inadmissible.

“We voted for them to end this health dictatorship, they do nothing”.

On social networks, Nupes voters feel betrayed.

After the error of the rebellious MEP Manon Aubry on the vote for the extension of the health pass in the European Parliament, on June 23, now the deputies are accused of "not making things happen".

“During the campaign, they had promised to put an end to vaccines, the vaccine pass among others,” says another Internet user.

If they partly achieved this objective on Tuesday evening at the Assembly, it is a completely different problem that is pointed out by Internet users: the reintegration of unvaccinated caregivers, who had been suspended at the start of the 2021 school year. made their comm [communication] around these forgotten caregivers, and now they forget them too, ”notes a disgruntled voter.

Have the elected officials of Nupes really done anything for these caregivers?

FAKE OFF

During the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, the vote on the Covid-19 bill took place, aimed at extending certain provisions in the fight against the epidemic.

The bill was adopted, but one of its main articles was amputated – restoring the health pass for “extra-hexagonal” travel, from or to abroad.

When the rebellious Vice-President of the Assembly, Caroline Fiat, announced the result, the deputies of LFI and RN applauded.

An alliance that has caused ink to flow on the side of the presidential majority, according to the reaction of Elisabeth Borne on Twitter.

If Nupes voters have expressed their dissatisfaction, it is because the reintegration of unvaccinated caregivers has not been addressed.

This point was not on the agenda, but it was in no way due to the union of the left.

The opposition had indeed tabled amendments to demand the reinstatement of these caregivers.

But they were deemed inadmissible by the President of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, and therefore could not be discussed.

The chairman of the Finance Committee, Eric Coquerel (LFI), author of one of them, challenged this decision.

In a press release, he deplored the interpretation of Article 40 of the Constitution, which makes it possible to prevent parliamentarians from tabling an amendment if it increases public spending.

“I oppose this extremely rare decision which, I hope, will remain a regrettable exception…”, wrote the elected official.

Its group president, Mathilde Panot, shouted "censorship".

With the deputies RN and LR, the Insoumis have, throughout the debates of recent days, multiplied the attacks against the government because of their refusal to mention the reintegration of caregivers.

The elected LFI Elisa Martin denounced in these suspensions "an unprecedented and absurd abuse of power".

The Minister of Health recalled that this was "not on the agenda" given the epidemic situation.

And this Tuesday in the National Assembly, he undertook to take stock of the situation “in the fall” on the question.
