After the high-profile lawsuit between ex-spouses Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, the jury decided that Amber Heard has slandered Johnny Depp and is forced to pay him around ten million dollars.

According to the verdict, Depp has also defamed his ex-wife and is sentenced to pay two million dollars in damages.

Heard has since claimed that a person on the jury was not the one summoned to the trial and that the verdict against her is therefore not fair.

In connection with this, she applied for the case to be reconsidered in a new trial.

Her claim is now rejected by the judge and she is thus denied a new trial.

- The jury member was examined and was involved during the trial until the jury agreed on the outcome, says judge Penney Azcarate.

- All jury members have fulfilled their duty and have kept their oath, Azcarate continues.
