Iraq confirms its participation in the Riyadh summit in the presence of Biden

Today, Wednesday, the Iraqi government confirmed that its president, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, will participate in the Riyadh summit, in the presence of US President Joe Biden.

A statement from Al-Kazemi's office said: "Al-Kazemi will participate early next week in the summit hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the participation of the leaders of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, as well as the leaders of Egypt, Jordan, and the United States."

He added: "The conference will discuss energy, food security and environmental challenges, and outline steps for cooperation, partnership, and joint coordination regarding these crucial issues that the peoples of the entire region suffer from."

He continued, "Iraq's response to the invitation of His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and participation in this summit is a continuation of the government's commitment to developing diplomatic relations, and its keenness to preserve Iraq's international standing, while adhering to the principle of moderation, maintaining balance, and moving away from the policy of axes." and alliances."
