The LFI deputy recently elected president of the Finance Committee of the Assembly denies the accusations.

This did not prevent the Paris prosecutor's office from opening an investigation on Wednesday for sexual harassment and assault against Eric Coquerel, targeted by several testimonies.

Left-wing activist Sophie Tissier announced that she had filed a complaint which will therefore be examined by the investigation.

This former figure of "yellow vests" aged 43, denounces in his complaint, filed in early July, facts "may be similar to a sexual assault" dating from August 23, 2014 in Grenoble, which would have been committed by Eric Coquerel, what he disputes.

The facts could be prescribed.
