“Anti-corruption prosecutors invited the mother of the former president of the country to bring charges under the article “aiding in illicit enrichment,” the report says.
The prosecutor's office said that during searches in the house of Galina Dodon, they found 689 thousand lei (about $35 thousand), €17 thousand and $1 thousand.
The report says that the investigation will have to establish the origin of this money.
Earlier, Dodon was charged with abuse of authority.
On June 21, Dodon announced that a court in Chisinau extended his house arrest for another 30 days.
