The PRC will ask the Government of Sánchez today in the Debate on the State of the Nation to accelerate the execution of the commitments with Cantabria

The national deputy of the

PRC

,

José María Mazón

, will ask the President of the Government,

Pedro Sánchez

, during his speech this Wednesday in the

Debate on the State of the Nation

, to accelerate the execution of all the commitments that the Executive has with the Cantabrians, especially, the works of the high-speed train to Madrid, the inclusion of the train to Bilbao in the Extended Basic Network of the European Union, the improvement of the Cercanías network and the payment of the 33 million euros pending to "finally settle the historical debt of Valdecilla".

The national deputy will take the floor on the second day of the debate, which is taking place in the

Congress of Deputies

from yesterday, July 12, until tomorrow, the 14th. It will be the first time that a Cantabrian representative intervenes in this debate, which It hasn't been held for seven years.

Mazón will take the opportunity to demand "greater agility" in the fulfillment of the commitments signed by the Regionalist Party and the PSOE in 2019 and which are part of the pact for the constitution of the

Government of Cantabria

.

In this sense, it has specified that it will affect the bidding and awarding of the two remaining sections of the train to Madrid (Osorno-Calahorra de Boedo and Calahorra de Boedo-Alar del Rey), so that both procedures are completed before that ends this year.

"We are already in July and the months go by quickly, we want facts", he stressed.

The Congress will process today after the debate on the State of the Nation the express reform of the PSOE on the CGPJ to unlock the renewal of the TC

The

Congress of Deputies

will debate this Wednesday the consideration of the bill promoted by the

PSOE

to return to

the General Council of the Judiciary

(

CGPJ

) its ability to make appointments while in office, but only to designate its two candidates to

the Constitutional Court

(

TC

), with the expectation that it will be approved on Thursday and can be sent to the Senate.

The socialist parliamentary group introduced this bill on June 24 with the aim of partially amending the reform of the Organic Law of the Judiciary (LOPJ) approved in March 2021 at the initiative of the Government, which prevents the CGPJ from being able to discretionary appointments in the judicial leadership with the mandate expired, a situation in which he has been since December 2018.

The problem raised is that this limitation of functions has made it impossible for the CGPJ to appoint two of the four candidates who must replace the four TC magistrates who saw their mandate expire on June 12, since it is the corresponding third designate in equal parts the Government and

the General Council of the Judiciary

, with two candidates each.

"To avoid this situation, which can cause difficulties in the renewal of the constitutional bodies, article 570 bis of the Organic Law of the Judiciary must be modified, in order to introduce among the powers conferred on the CGPJ in office that of appointing the two magistrates of the TC that, in the terms provided in article 599 of the same norm, corresponds to him to designate", reads the explanatory memorandum of the socialist proposal.

The Executive requested an express processing of this bill within the framework of the

Debate on the State of the Nation

, so the plan is that, after the duels of the president,

Pedro Sánchez

, with the parliamentary spokesmen, the Congress celebrates the Wednesday afternoon a first debate on the entirety of the reform so that the following day the partial amendments are discussed and their approval is voted on.

Debate on the State of the Nation

and the measures of the President of the Government,

Pedro Sánchez

, during his speech at a summer course that his party organizes in

San Lorenzo de El Escorial

(Madrid).

Feijóo has attended the chamber of the Congress, where he has occupied for the first time the first seat of the Popular Group in which until four months ago

Pablo Casado

sat

, but he has left all the protagonism to the general secretary and spokesperson of the Popular Group,

Cuca Gamarra

, since he could not speak from the speakers' gallery.

In her speech, the 'number two' of the

PP

has harshly charged against

Sánchez

's management and has stated that she is going to leave Spain "worse than she found it".

"The

Frankenstein

Government does not give more of itself and it is a failed and exhausted project", he has proclaimed, without going into assessing the taxes on banks and energy companies that Sánchez has announced, assuring that he wants to know the "fine print".

It will be this Wednesday when

Feijóo

will pronounce on the

Debate on the State of the Nation

The Minister of Territorial Policy and Government spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez, has slipped that the ERC spokesman in Congress,

Gabriel Rufián

, is "repentant" after exhibiting three red "bullets"

during his speech in the

Debate on the State of the Nation

Pedro Sánchez

.

As the minister stressed in an interview on Cadena Ser, Rufián himself "has been aware of that mistake, which will surely haunt him."

Rufián

took out those bullets one by one, during his first speech in the
