The 320,000 inhabitants of Wugang, a major steel center in central China, were confined on Tuesday July 12 after the discovery of a case of Covid-19.

And this while travel restrictions are back in many provinces.

Residents of Wugang cannot leave their homes until Wednesday, July 13.

According to the notice from the town hall

posted on Monday

, these three days of confinement should make it possible to prevent any contagion after the discovery of a case of contamination.

An advisory that comes after the Center for Disease Prevention and Control reported the rise in the number of positive cases in and around Henan Province, including Anhui where 1.7 million people were in lockdown over the week last.

Closure of entertainment venues
