China Overseas Chinese Network July 13th telegram: "Killing the foreign plate" overturned and lost money?

Liars have deep tricks, don't take their rhetoric seriously!

In recent years, there has been a high incidence of telecommunications and network fraud, with more than 50 forms, which can be described as full of tricks.

Well-planned scams are packaged as "sweet encounters", and liars in fake clothes are regarded as "dream lovers". Everyone is familiar with "killing pigs", but have you heard of "killing foreign dishes"?

The so-called "Shaoyangpan" is a new variant of the "killing pig" scam: scammers target foreigners, pretending to be "Bai Fumei" and "Gao Fushuai", using translation software to chat with foreign netizens to "make friends", and obtain the same method. After the victim trusts, guide the victim to "invest" and defraud money.

Recently, the Shunqing Sub-bureau of the Public Security Bureau of Nanchong City, Sichuan Province successfully destroyed a telecommunication network fraud gang called "Saying Yangpan", arrested more than 50 criminal suspects, seized more than 30 computers and more than 100 mobile phones.

In this case, the fraud group pretended to be an Asian "Bai Fumei" on a chat software called "whatsapp", made friends with overseas netizens and lured the victim to a fake online investment platform. By means of increasing profits” and other methods to induce victims to continuously invest funds, most victims still cannot withdraw cash even after paying the so-called “top-up tax”.

Under the guise of opening a "technology company", the criminal gang recruited a large number of "salesmen" and formulated a so-called work and life management system to implement unified management.

In order to allow "employees" to "get started" as soon as possible, fraudulent words such as "seven-day quick battle method", "rejection of video chat words" and "emotional value words" in both Chinese and English have been compiled.

The personal image and daily life photos of the Asian "Bai Fumei" were packaged and purchased on overseas websites, and the "salesmen" were packaged to make illegal profits of more than 1 million yuan through fraud.

In fact, this case is not an exception.

Xiaoqiao found that although the routines of "killing foreign plates" appeared in an endless stream, it seemed impossible to prevent, but the fraudulent methods were always changing.

Compared with face-to-face in reality, more people believe that the online world across the screen can find like-minded people more, and it also gives opportunities for fraud.

First of all, telecommunications and network fraud criminal gangs are often well-organized and have a clear division of labor.

By using internal chat software to form chat groups, and publishing a large number of chat templates such as "brainwashing artifacts" and "classic terminology chat sentences" in the chat group, gang members are trained.

At the same time, using foreign mobile phone cards, fictitious identities on overseas chat software, pretending to be rich, beautiful women or handsome and promising men, after building trust by constantly adding friends, ambiguous chats, etc., specially lure foreigners to download virtual currency An investment platform that induces victims to invest and causes customers to lose money through preset ups and downs.

Because the flow of funds is not as clear as the domestic "killing pig", and the victims are abroad, it is difficult to recover all the funds that have been defrauded in most cases.

However, in a case recently uncovered by the police, a "killing foreign disk" telecom fraud gang failed to deceive.

According to the report of the police in Danjiangkou City, Hubei Province, because the fraud group used English to commit fraud, in order to collect evidence rigorously, the Criminal Investigation Brigade specially invited 4 English teachers to translate the chat records on the spot. As a result, these chat records were either grammatically wrong or the words did not express their meaning. See Get people confused.

It turned out that the criminal suspects only mechanically copied the sentences from the speech materials provided online and sent them to the other party, or translated sentences that could express their meaning through conventional translation software and sent them to the other party.

Although they are also insisting on learning basic English phrases, and downloading a variety of instant translation software on everyone's computer, hoping to improve the efficiency of "work".

However, due to their poor foreign language skills, the five-person fraud gang has not succeeded once since it was established for more than a month. Instead, it costs several thousand yuan for utilities and other costs.

Xiaoqiao reminds the vast number of overseas Chinese: "There is no need to deceive people, and the heart to prevent fraud is indispensable." When it comes to "money", be careful!

Be sure to protect personal property and key information, especially for people you have never met or are familiar with, don't disclose your financial situation at will, and don't easily "borrow" money!
