Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, July 12. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, replied to the Taiwanese youth who participated in the Straits Youth Forum on July 11, encouraging young people on both sides of the strait to work together to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

In his reply, Xi Jinping said, I am very pleased to learn that you have become attached to the mainland because of the Straits Youth Forum, that you have found a stage in the mainland to realize your dreams, that you have experienced the rapid development and changes of the motherland, and that you have felt the warm feelings of compatriots on both sides of the strait.

Xi Jinping emphasized that the prosperity of the youth will make the country prosperous, and the strong youth will make the country strong.

The future of the motherland and the nation rests on the youth.

We will, as always, create favorable conditions for young people from both sides of the strait to learn from each other, and provide more convenience for Taiwanese youth to study, find employment, start businesses and live in the mainland.

I hope you will share your experiences and insights in the mainland with Taiwanese youths, so that more Taiwanese youths can understand the mainland, walk together with mainland youths, work together, persevere and gallop, so that youth can be part of the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The great process blooms with brilliance.

The Straits Youth Forum was founded in 2003 and is co-sponsored by the All-China Youth Federation, the Taiwan-China Youth Exchange Association, and the Chinese Kuomintang Youth Workers' Association. It is an important platform for cross-strait youth exchanges.

The 20th Straits Youth Forum was held in Xiamen, Fujian Province from July 11 to 12. 50 Taiwanese youths who were invited to participate in this forum recently wrote a letter to General Secretary Xi Jinping, describing their experiences of studying, working and living in the mainland of the motherland.
