It's summer, it's time to party, and despite a certain seventh wave, July 14 wants to be as joyful and light as before the health crisis.

Whether you're a fan of pyrotechnics, nostalgic for the 80's, adapted to the musette ball on the village square, here are five suggestions for having fun in good company.

In Lyon, a traditional July 14th… and eco-responsible

The Lyon festivities will begin with a military parade at 11:30 a.m. on Place Bellecour, and will end with popular balls set up on the banks of the Saône, between the Bonaparte bridge and the Maréchal Juin bridge, from 9 p.m. to midnight.

The highlight will of course be the "pure" fireworks offered by the City.

At 10:40 p.m., the hill of Fourvière will be set ablaze for a major pyrotechnic show: 5 acts, 152 scenes for 14 sequences and 4 interludes will follow one another for 21 minutes.

With not one, but two final bouquets.

As a green municipality, these fires will be eco-responsible, with paper bombs and recycled cardboard, fully biodegradable.

In Vaise, a neighborhood 14-July… and trendy 80’s

In the Vaise district, the town hall of the 9th arrondissement transforms Place Valmy into a festive and retro July 14 from 9 p.m.

On the program, sporting challenges by the offbeat sports club Banane & Basket, games for all ages (including chess on giant pieces with Lyon Olympique Echecs), blind tests and a special 80s concert (8 p.m.).

Neighborhood restaurants will offer stalls and refreshments.

In Confluence, a July 14... gourmet and dancing

The Mob Hôtel Confluence offers a "republican couscous" (vegetarian or merguez, your choice) from noon to 11 p.m., where the public will be invited to share large tables, in a spirit of sharing and conviviality.

DJ sets are scheduled from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. to burn off the calories on the dance floors.

In Vénissieux, a July 14... at the heart of a festival

From July 14 to 16, the Fêtes escales festival returns for three days of free concerts and shows in Dupic Park.

The national holiday will be part of the program with a "republican picnic", organized at noon, and in the early evening, an aperitif open to all offered by the town hall of Vénissieux.

In mainland France, a 14-July… which begins the day before

Around Lyon, the festivities will begin on Wednesday.

In Caluire-et-Cuire, a fireworks display will be given at 10:30 p.m., before a popular ball on the Bernard Roger-Dalbert esplanade.

The next day, the town hall offers a republican aperitif from 11 am, place Gouhailhardou.

In Décines, on the banks of the Jonage canal, a festive afternoon is planned at the rowing base.

An aperitif-guinguette will be offered by the city from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by fireworks at 10:30 p.m. and a ball until midnight.

In Vaulx-en-Velin, on the site of the flea market, events are planned, games and catering stands from 7 p.m., a popular ball at 8 p.m., fireworks at 10:45 p.m.

The city of Bron is keeping July 14 to animate Place de la Liberté in a "Guinguette pour tous" atmosphere (concerts, dance shows, games for children), from 6 p.m. to midnight, with fireworks at 10 p.m. 30 at City Hall.
