This was stated by the governor of the region Igor Babushkin on his page in VKontakte.

According to him, as a result of the shelling, 11 people were injured, three were killed.

The search for four more people is also underway. 

“Unfortunately, there were three Astrakhans among them: Alexander Matveev, Georgy Sherstyukov and Alexander Khovriko,” he said.

Babushkin added that Astrakhan residents were engaged in the distribution of humanitarian aid in the DPR.

He expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.

Earlier, the head of the branch of the “Volunteers of Victory” movement in the DPR, Irina Makarenko, said that three volunteers were killed on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic during shelling from Ukraine, and 11 more were injured.
