In total, Sweden has more than 2,500 bathing sites registered with the Swedish Maritime and Water Administration, but how many need to agree on the space on beaches or in swimming pools varies from municipality to municipality.

Large municipalities such as Växjö, Stockholm and Västervik have the most baths, but if you count per inhabitant, it is instead Ydre followed by Vilhelmina and Laxå that is at the top.

There are almost two bathing places per thousand inhabitants
