A Carrefour Contact supermarket in Clermont (Oise) was the target of a robbery this Saturday afternoon.

A man in his thirties wearing a surgical mask, cap and sunglasses burst into the store.

He sprayed an employee with tear gas and took the money from the cash register, says

Only 300 euros were in the drawer.

The robber fled shortly after his theft, which lasted a total of six minutes.

The thirty-year-old had indeed taken a bottle of water from a shelf and waited for the cashier to be alone to go and pay for it.

Two complaints filed

The employee was not injured but she remained shocked.

She filed a complaint, as did the manager of the supermarket.

A police investigation is underway.

The financial loss is estimated at 1,800 euros.

The store having had to close until the next day, it suffered a shortfall of around 1,500 euros.
