On Monday, residents of the 8th arrondissement of Paris witnessed a not trivial accident.
At the corner of rue Balzac and avenue Friedland, a garbage truck from the City of Paris hit the facade of the restaurant Le Balzac.
Jérôme, the manager of the establishment, assures
20 Minutes
that the damage is "only material", but that the collision caused a "big fright".
"Apparently, the truck suffered a mechanical problem," he continued, indicating that an internal investigation was underway to determine the circumstances of the accident.
He hopes to be able to quickly repair his storefront, but "with insurance, you never know," he breathes.
Contacted, the city of Paris has not yet responded to our request.
