His therapeutic method against cancer, based on blood treatment, had no basis.

An ex-practitioner, struck off for three decades, was sentenced Monday in Toulouse to a suspended twelve-month prison sentence for "illegal practice of medicine", reports

 La Dépêche du Midi

in its edition of the day.

The 63-year-old, who ran a company specializing in the development of a therapeutic cancer vaccine in animals, was also providing oncology care to human patients undercover.

Since its report by the Council of the Order in 2020, the gendarmes have found around twenty abused patients, some of whom have paid for their treatment up to 2,500 euros.

The fake doctor, who practiced in the Muret sector, would have amassed at least 63,000 euros during these illegal consultations.

He fully admitted the facts during his trial.

In addition to the suspended prison sentence, the court sentenced him to a fine of 15,000 euros and banned him from any medical activity.
