“The bill, in order to improve the pension provision of parents, proposes to amend Art.

15 of the Federal Law "On Insurance Pensions", according to which the coefficients for the full calendar year of the period of child care counted as insurance experience are doubled, that is, 3.6 - in relation to the period of care for the first child, 7.2 - for the second, 10.8 - for the third or fourth child, ”the explanatory note to the bill says.

If the bill is adopted, for the birth and upbringing of four or more children, you can get 48.6 points, which in 2022 is 5217.7 rubles.

It is assumed that the amendments to the law may come into force on January 1, 2023.

“The adoption of the bill will increase the pension provision of parents who raised children, stimulate the birth rate, that is, improve the demographic situation in the country,” the text of the document says.

In accordance with Art.

12 of the Federal Law of December 28, 2013 No. 400-ФЗ “On Insurance Pensions”, the period of care of one of the parents for each child until they reach one and a half years is counted in the insurance period, but the maximum period is limited to six years.

For these periods, pension coefficients (points) are also accrued, in which, starting from 2015, pension rights are formed.

This takes into account periods of care for no more than four children.

According to part 12 of Art.

15 of the said Federal Law, the coefficient for the full calendar year of the period of care for each child counted as insurance experience until he reaches one and a half years is: 1.8 - in relation to the period of care for the first child, 3.6 - for the second, 5.4 - for the third or fourth child.

When calculating the insurance pension, all annual pension coefficients are summed up, including coefficients for non-insurance periods, the authors added.

Earlier it became known that since June 1 in Russia the size of the insurance pension has increased by 10%.

The average amount of old-age payments to non-working citizens increased by 1,760 rubles to 19,360 rubles.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, indexation should affect about 35 million people.
