It was in April this year that the bronze sculpture disappeared from its place in the corner of Klostergatan and Svartbäcksgatan.

On Monday, after several months of absence, the sculpture was found at one of the bus stops at Ekonomikum in Uppsala, which UNT was the first to report.

Eva Larsson, the sculptor's designer, was delighted by the unexpected news.

- It is fantastic!

Nobody thought it would come back, and I was completely set on making a new one, she says.

During the morning, Eva Larsson got a picture of the sculpture where it stood at the bus stop.

- I think that someone must have had it at home and then realized that they did not have any joy from a stolen work of art.

Eva Larsson points out that a solution must be worked out so that the sculpture becomes more difficult to steal in the future.

"Nice that it is undamaged"

- Maybe we can GPS-tag it, she says with a laugh.

Helena Westin, head of the Uppsala art and cultural heritage department at the cultural administration at Uppsala municipality, is also happy that the sculpture is back.

- It's really fun!

It is nice that it was fairly undamaged and that it can make the people of Uppsala happy as soon as possible, she says.

When will the sculpture be back in place?

- It's not decided yet.

But we want to get it up as soon as possible, says Helena Westin.
