The Swedish Championships in swimming took place at the turn of the month and the talent Julia Månsson took home the first Swedish Championship gold of her career at senior level.
Månsson won in the branch 200 meters breaststroke and took silver in the distances 50 and 100 meters.
Together with her teammates, she took another Swedish Championship gold in the 4x100 meter medley.
- It was nothing I had expected.
So it was extra fun when I was so surprised, says Julia Månsson.
Selected for the European Championships
After her performance at the Swedish Championships, she has been selected for the European Championships, which will be decided in Rome on 11-17 August.
Exactly what distances Månsson will swim is not clear yet.
- Actually, 200 is the favorite, but 50 is fun too because then I do not get as nervous because it is the one I am least good at, says Julia and laughs.
