Four people suspected of stealing money from the public through websites selling equipment were detained

The attackers created several sites to sell equipment at reduced prices and demanded full prepayment.

“One of the accomplices, using IP-telephony, acted as an operator of online stores, called customers, received and processed orders, and also distributed the received money among the group members.

Another defendant carried out the development, administration and promotion of sites.

Two more ensured the anonymity of the group on the Internet using proxy servers.

Scammers registered wallets of one of the payment systems for illegally acquired SIM cards,” Volk said.

The accomplices used 40 mobile phone subscriber numbers, 160 bank accounts and electronic wallets, 17 IP telephony subscriber numbers, 200 proxy servers.

Evidence of the crime was seized during the searches.

Earlier, Krym 24, citing the press service of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Kazakhstan and Sevastopol, reported that the FSB had stopped the illegal activities of two employees of the Central City Hospital of Armyansk.
