"President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky," the ministry said in a Twitter statement.

The parties also discussed the creation of safe corridors for the export of grain in the Black Sea.

Earlier, Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, during which the parties discussed the situation around Ukraine and coordination of measures to ensure the safety of navigation in the Black Sea.

The Kremlin noted that Putin and Erdogan held telephone conversations on the eve of the Russian-Turkish summit scheduled for the near future.
