Minttu from Haparanda is training to drive a jet ski

Since 1 May this year, a driver's license is required for jet skis.

So far, 1,100 people in Norrbotten have undergone training and proportionally, there are many times more than in the metropolitan regions, for example.

SVT Nyheter Norrbotten met Minttu Junes from Haparanda during her driver training in Haparanda harbor.

- I am here because I was voted down in the family when we were going to buy a boat, so it became a jet ski instead, she says.

"It's absolutely amazing"

In Norrbotten, the proportion of women who have been educated is also over 30 percent, which is the highest in the country.

- It is absolutely fantastic when we live so close to the archipelago to have a freedom to get here in a simple way.

And we have young people in the house and I think this is a way to spend a little more time with them, says Minttu Junes.
