The gendarmes of Hérault, Gard and Pyrénées-Orientales extracted more than a dozen vehicles - ten cars and a scooter precisely - from the Bas-Rhône Languedoc canal in the town of Saint-Gilles, in the Gard.

The members of the nautical brigades of Grau du Roi, Marseillan and Saint-Cyprien brought back the wrecks one by one.

And, surprise, "it turns out that ten vehicles had their license plates and none were stolen..."

Investigations with the Argos system

As the vehicles had been in the water for a very long time, the technical and scientific police operations could not be carried out.

“On the other hand, investigations will be carried out with the Argos system to identify the vehicles and their owners”, warn the soldiers.
