 A video of a Chinese driver abandoning a dog in the middle of a busy road quickly spread through Chinese social media, prompting local authorities to investigate.



According to foreign media reports such as the South China Morning Post (SCMP) on the 7th local time, a video shot with a black box was posted on SNS in China on June 29th.



In the video, a driver opened a car door and dropped a white puppy on a road in southern China's Guangdong Province. 



The startled dog runs around the door, scratching the car and jumping high, but the driver does not open the door again.



The vehicle slowly moves forward and disappears, while the lost white dog wanders around. 



This video quickly spread on social media in China, drawing outrage from Chinese netizens who saw it.

Local netizens showed reactions such as 'It's heartless', 'I would have only looked at the owner', and 'What if there are so many cars and an accident happens'.



The dog was later rescued by security guards at a nearby restaurant.  



The security guard who rescued the dog said, "The dog ran around on the road with lots of traffic to find its owner."



He continued, "I entrusted my dog ​​to an acquaintance who likes dogs, and he takes good care of them, such as taking a bath." 



Local traffic police said they were looking for the driver who arbitrarily abandoned the dog on the road.
