According to the website of the Ministry of Emergency Management, due to the lack of precipitation and high temperature in the early stage, drought conditions have emerged and developed in parts of northern my country, and provinces such as Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, and Gansu have been severely affected by drought.

Recently, some areas in Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu and other provinces have continued to experience high temperature and little rain, accelerating soil moisture loss, and drought conditions may continue and develop.

According to the relevant provisions of the "National Emergency Plan for Flood Control and Drought Relief", at 12:00 on July 9, the National Defense General Administration launched a four-level emergency response to drought in the three provinces of Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi and Gansu.

  The National Defense General Administration requires relevant provinces to strictly implement the drought resistance responsibility system, strengthen drought monitoring, analysis and judgment, timely statistics and report drought information, strengthen the unified management of drought-resistant water sources, refine the implementation of emergency water supply measures, and organize a national comprehensive fire rescue team to pull water when necessary. Provide water to ensure the safety of drinking water for the masses, ensure water for agricultural production, and minimize the impact and loss of drought.

  On the basis of dispatching working groups to Inner Mongolia and Shaanxi in the early stage, the General Office of National Defense has sent an additional working group to Gansu to guide and assist local governments in drought relief and disaster reduction.
