The concert was conducted by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Conductor and Head of the Department of Cultural Leadership (Music) Choi Man Tak, who conducted the Performing Arts Symphony Orchestra to perform three orchestral pieces, including Hong Kong composer Zhang Peishan's award-winning work "Da Pai Sang", and Chinese composer Wang Danhong's performance. Ma Hang, a national first-class performer and a guzheng teacher at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, who played the guzheng concerto "As It Is", told reporters after the performance that he could combine Chinese and Western styles with the Symphony Orchestra on the international stage of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Performing Arts Theatre. It is a dedication to the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to cooperate in the performance of the traditional Chinese guzheng instrument concerto.
