World Games is a bit like the Olympics for many of the sports that are not on the Olympic program.

In parkour, competition and freestyle are competed in the disciplines.

In the speed branch, it is about getting from point A to B and passing a series of obstacles in the fastest possible time.

In freestyle, you complete a program that is judged by judges.

Elis Torhall competes most in Freestyle, but in the World Games he may also test the other discipline.

In the Olympics in Paris 2024, parkour will be a showpiece and the hope is that parkour will be included in the Olympics in Los Angeles 2028.

- It would be great fun to be part of an Olympics, says Elis Torhall.

Live on their sport

It has been a lot of traveling for the 18-year-old from Hovslätt in Jönköping lately.

In May he won the World Cup competition in Montpellier, France and in June he was in Greece competing in Art of motion.

There were three competitions where Elis Torhall finished third in total.

Some of the best parkour athletes in the world can support themselves in their sport.

- It is clear that you hope that you can do it in the future, Elis Torhall explains.

He has an instagram account with around 80,000 followers where he posts a lot of dangerous tricks.

It looks dangerous sometimes - is the risk of injury great in parkour?

- Not as big as you might think.

You can often parry and maybe roll away and fall quite softly.

Common with injuries

According to Elis Torhall, overload injuries are most common.

He himself has had problems with a knee recently, but he hopes that it will not haunt during the competitions in the US next week.

In the clip, Elis Torhall talks about how much he trains and about his most difficult trick.
