(Fighting against New Coronary Pneumonia) Hong Kong adds 2,995 new positive cases of new corona virus
China News Service, Hong Kong, July 9 (Reporter Han Xingtong) The Center for Health Protection of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Department of Health announced on the 9th that as of 0:00 that day, there were 2,995 new positive cases of the new coronavirus in Hong Kong.
Of the new cases, 2,791 were local cases, of which 1,104 were nucleic acid test-positive cases and 1,687 were rapid test-positive cases reviewed by nucleic acid tests.
There are another 204 imported cases.
Zhang Zhujun, director of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Center for Health Protection, said that in the past day, there have been no new deaths, and a total of 9,197 deaths have been recorded in the fifth wave of the epidemic.
Li Liye, chief administrative manager (integrated clinical services) of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, said that a total of 893 confirmed patients are currently hospitalized, of which 144 are newly confirmed patients.
Among the patients in hospital, 18 are in critical condition and 22 are in serious condition, of which 4 are in critical condition and are receiving intensive treatment.
