The two girls were only three and a year old when the man close to the family raped them and filmed the abuse.

He was homeless at times and lived with his family, where there are more siblings.

In the years before they were taken into care, the family moved several times, when the mother was evicted from her homes.

Both the man who has now been convicted of the aggravated rapes, as well as the mother and fathers of four of the children have previously been convicted of crimes and have been the subject of investigations by the social services due to abuse and lack of care.

Over the years, a large number of reports of unrest have been made by, among others, schools, the police, child welfare centers, the Enforcement Officer, landlords and private individuals.

Taken care of in connection with the birth

The crimes against the children were discovered in the autumn of 2021. At that time, the two girls and a sibling had been cared for and placed in a family home for over a year.

A younger sibling was taken care of in connection with the birth during the same summer.

The municipality outside the county decided to take care of the children according to the law on care of young people after several malpractices were discovered.

It was about lack of dental care, dirty apartments, ongoing abuse in the home and several home changes due to eviction.

Regular drug tests

SVT Nyheter Jönköping has been in contact with the father of two of the children.

He says that his children are still being cared for and are doing well today.

In order to spend time with them, he has to take regular drug tests.

- It is clear that I want to get my children home, but the most important thing is that they are well.

The family home is absolutely fantastic, he says.

The vulnerable girl has told the abusive mother about the abuse.

In interrogation, the mother of the foster home tells that the girl said that "the stomach pain disappeared" after she told about the "secret".

- I know that she has people she feels safe with and who she has told, the father says.
