Earlier, the UN Security Council did not adopt a Russian resolution to extend for six months the work of the Bab el-Hawa checkpoint on the border of Turkey and the Syrian Arab Republic for the delivery of cross-border humanitarian aid.

First Deputy Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky noted that the resolution prepared by the West ignored the interests of Damascus.
