Corresponding changes are supposed to be made to the law “On banks and banking activity”.

“Establish the obligation of credit institutions without charging a commission to transfer funds on behalf of an individual in the amount of up to 1.4 million rubles monthly between accounts (deposits) of one individual in different credit institutions,” the explanatory note to the document says.

It is noted that the proposal is aimed at curbing the possibility of credit institutions creating obstacles to the free movement of funds.

Earlier, Sberbank announced that it would introduce a 1.25% commission from July 1 for transfers to cards of other banks, credit and microfinance organizations through their applications and websites.

The commission will be a minimum of 30 rubles, a maximum of 150 rubles.
