“The coat of arms of the Kharkiv region is a golden double-headed eagle with a heraldic shield.

The state in the left paw of an eagle is a symbol of the historical roots of the Kharkiv region, as an integral part of the Russian lands, ”the administration told RIA Novosti.

The wand with two snakes is a symbol of reconciliation and inviolability.

The flag of the region has three colors: crimson, blue and red.

It is noted that the tricolor symbolizes the historical connection of the region with the Cossack traditions of the Slobozhansky region and Russia.

Earlier, the head of the regional military administration introduced martial law on the territories of the Kharkiv region liberated from Ukrainian troops.
