A 20-year-old worker employed on the Grand Paris Express site was seriously injured overnight from Monday to Tuesday.

The young man was participating in the work of the Europe work on line 16 in Aulnay-Sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis), Grand Paris Express said on Tuesday in a tweet spotted by France 3 Paris Ile-de-France.

On the night of Monday July 4 to Tuesday July 5, a journeyman working on the Europe work site on line 16, located in Aulnay-Sous-Bois, was seriously injured in an arm while he was working, on the surface, on the conveyor belt of the Houda tunnel boring machine.

The managers of the Ile-de-France project specified that the victim was a companion and that he had been hit in the arm.

The specialist was injured while “working on the surface on the Houda tunnel boring machine conveyor belt”, detailed Grand Paris Express on the social network.

The victim was medically treated and evacuated to a hospital.
