The tribute ceremony in memory of President Jovenel Moïse was brief in Port-au-Prince.

Because the Prime Minister would have had telephone exchanges with one of the main suspects a few hours after the assassination, the former First Lady Martine Moïse curtly declined the invitation.

The head of government was the only one to make a speech and he assured that he wanted to obtain justice for the president.

Ariel Henry thus declared: “

I renew here, before the Nation, my determination to encourage relentlessly the continuation of the investigation until its outcome.

Describing this assassination as a heinous and barbaric crime, Ariel Henry took advantage of the platform of the day to once again call on the political class to dialogue, affirming that they did not need to agree on everything to work together.
