China News Service, Beijing, July 7th (Men Rui) The Chinese Overseas Chinese History Museum issued an announcement on the 7th on collecting physical historical materials related to advanced figures in the contemporary overseas Chinese community.
The announcement stated that in order to scientifically protect and rationally utilize the historical and cultural heritage of overseas Chinese, and to fully demonstrate the important contributions made by the vast number of returned overseas Chinese and their relatives in the construction of New China, the Chinese Overseas Chinese History Museum is now collecting the "Top Ten Outstanding Overseas Chinese" for the whole society. Relevant collections and materials of "Outstanding Persons of Overseas Chinese in China" and nominated awards (which can be extended to various national awards since the founding of the People's Republic of China).
The announcement stated that the collections and materials collected this time cover the representatives who have won the previous "Top Ten Outstanding Overseas Chinese", "Outstanding Chinese Overseas Chinese" and nominated awards, and representatives of overseas Chinese who have won various national commendation awards since the founding of New China. Personal belongings, relevant materials, certificates and certificates for making important contributions, documents reflecting major life transitions in personal experiences, as well as text and picture materials reflecting the main deeds of the above-mentioned advanced figures in the contemporary overseas Chinese community, etc.
This special solicitation will last from June 2022 to May 2023, and will be included in the normal solicitation thereafter.
