Art Basel appoints Vincenzo de Bellis as its new director.
In his new position, which he takes up in August, de Bellis is responsible for the trade fair business and other exhibition platforms of the MHC Group.
He reports to Marc Spiegler, who remains global director and is set to take on a more strategic role.
Vincezo de Bellis was most recently curator at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.
Before that he was artistic director of the Milan fair for modern and contemporary art Miart.
During his tenure, the art fair developed into an international platform with 180 galleries.
