While the ballet of the Juillettists is engaged this Thursday, the first day of the school holidays, traffic was paralyzed for a good part of the morning on the A8 in the Alpes-Maritimes.

And the two pileups that occurred between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. in both directions of traffic still greatly disrupt traffic at midday, indicates the Vinci Autoroutes concessionaire.

Especially in Nice.

11:23 a.m.: on #A8 towards Aix after exit 51 Nice airport, traffic is disrupted.

“Heavily disturbed”

A first accident involving three cars occurred at 8:14 a.m. towards Nice between the Cagnes-sur-Mer and Saint-Laurent-du-Var interchanges.

The second took place at 9:30 a.m. between a heavy goods vehicle, a van and a car in the other direction, towards Aix-en-Provence, between the Cagnes-sur-Mer and Villeneuve-Loubet interchanges.

“Traffic has been restored on all lanes in both directions of traffic, but remains very difficult.

Traffic between Nice and the Antibes toll gate is therefore very seriously disrupted for the morning, ”said Vinci shortly after 11 a.m.
