A woman complains of being beaten by her husband

The Department of Guidance and Prisoner Reform in Ras Al Khaimah Courts received a complaint from a wife, stating that her husband constantly beats her in front of their children, humiliates and curses her, causing her injuries all over her body.

The head of the Family Guidance and Reform Department, Jassim Muhammad Al-Makki, said that the emirate's police referred the wife's complaint to the court, according to which she was subjected to violence by her husband, which led to her bruises and injuries in various parts of her body.

He explained that the wife's complaint was referred to the Guidance Department to try to reconcile the two parties in order to avoid a divorce between them, adding that the marital disputes between the two parties developed due to the accumulation of family problems between them, and the husband's resort to violence in resolving his differences with his wife.

He pointed out that the dispute between the spouses developed to the point where the husband beat and abused his wife, and she did not find a way out to escape her husband's violence but to seek the help of her sons who beat their father in revenge for their mother.

Al-Makki stated that the wife went to a hospital in the emirate to receive treatment and then filed a complaint with the Ras Al Khaimah Police against her husband stating that she was constantly beaten by her husband.

He explained that the two parties were brought together and given religious and family lectures related to the necessity of respect and cordiality between them and not insulting each other.
