On the 5th local time, the skies all over South Dakota, USA were dyed green.

The 'green sky phenomenon' is a rare phenomenon created by mixing the yellow light of the sunset with the blue light absorbed by the moist air when strong winds of 155 to 160 kilometers per hour blow.

However, the storm also caused significant damage, flooding local roads and cutting off electricity to thousands of homes.
