Before the baskets were removed, Skolfastigheter tried other solutions.

Signs that the plane was not allowed to be used after 22.00 were put up and extra patrols were also introduced late in the evenings and nights.

But the complaints remained and then a noise measurement was made to check the noise levels.

- The measurement we made of balls that were bounced and thrown against baskets showed 48 decibels, which is above the guideline value that applies for late evenings and nights, says Kristin Svensson.

She says that many expressed disappointment after the decision to remove the basketball hoops.

"There are too few places"

Kicki Hellberg, who works at Sverkerskolan but also lives nearby, thinks it is a pity that the basketball hoops have been removed.

- It's very boring, she says.

Can you understand those who think it sounds and makes noise?

-

I can understand, it is difficult to understand how much they experience the sound and bother with it.

But if it is to be like this on all farms that are close to buildings, we have no recreational areas to gather in the evenings.

The decision is valid until 30 September.

In the clip, you hear more from both Kristin Svensson, teachers at the school and residents in the area about the removed basketball hoops.
