Melted cables and heavy smoke.
Tisséo has just delivered its diagnosis after the electrical incident which occurred this Wednesday morning, shortly before 9 a.m., and which has paralyzed the entire Toulouse metro since then.
The fault of an “electric arc”, a stroke of juice comparable to lightning.
It happened on the track, "when a train passed shortly before the Patte-d'Oie station", indicates the operator.
In addition to the release of smoke, which slightly inconvenienced eight travelers, the incident “damaged cables to the command post at the piloting of lines A and B” but also “a guide bar and an insulator”.
Damage that requires “a heavy intervention at the level of the guide bar and the electrical harnesses”.
Hence the unusual length of the stop.
Technicians are working hard to restore the facilities.
👉 For line A, you can take line 14 which connects Basso Cambo and Balma-Gramont.
👉 For line B, lines 34 and 44 are extended to Ramonville.
Our Tisséo teams and the emergency services are in the process of intervention.
