“To organize uninterrupted supply of the Kaliningrad region is a strategic state task.

Today we see an ever-increasing pressure from Western countries on Russia, concerning its remote regions, such as the Kaliningrad region and the Crimea.

But if the transport security of Crimea is clearly provided on the one hand by the Crimean bridge, and on the other - by the liberated territories, then it is more difficult with the Kaliningrad region, ”Belik explained.

As the deputy emphasized, to build a road, to provide a transport corridor that “the Western regime will not encroach on”, is the primary task of Russia.

“And in this regard, I fully agree with the governor of the Kaliningrad region that the region should be connected with Russia by strong transport links,” the parliamentarian concluded.

Earlier, Alikhanov spoke about the possible construction of dedicated routes to Kaliningrad.
