China News Service, July 6th. According to the WeChat official account of the Chinese Embassy in Brunei, according to domestic prevention and control regulations, starting from July 5, 2022, the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Brunei will not take flights departing from Brunei. The boarding health code requirements for Chinese personnel are adjusted as follows:

1. Pre-trip nucleic acid detection

  (1) Testing requirements.

All passengers traveling from Brunei to China must undergo two nucleic acid tests within 48 hours before departure, which can be conducted at the same testing institution or different testing institutions.

Among them, the first nucleic acid test for passengers on direct flights to China will be carried out from 11:40 am to 3:00 pm the next day before boarding (Sunday), and the second nucleic acid test will be carried out on the morning of the day before boarding (Monday).

  (2) Testing institutions.

Please go to JPMC Hospital, which provides long-term testing services in China, or other nucleic acid testing institutions designated by the Brunei Ministry of Health.

The testing efficiency, working hours, and appointment methods of each testing agency are different. Please make an appointment in advance and confirm the time to receive the test report to avoid delaying the trip.

Note: 1. Those who have been infected with the new crown and go to China need to conduct self-health monitoring for 14 days after recovery. If there is no abnormality, the pre-boarding test requirements are the same as those of ordinary personnel.

The standard for confirming recovery is two negative nucleic acid test results (more than 24 hours apart).

  2. 5-day health monitoring for close contacts and persons with suspected symptoms.

If there is no abnormality during the period, the pre-boarding test requirements are the same as those of ordinary personnel.

2. Application for boarding health code

  (1) Verification report.

Passengers are requested to carefully check the name, date of birth, passport number and other information on the report after receiving the nucleic acid test report issued by the testing agency to ensure that it is accurate.

  (2) Time limit requirements.

Passengers are requested to upload the blue boarding health code application materials before 6 pm one day before boarding.

  (3) Upload materials.

Passengers who apply to the Chinese Embassy in Brunei for a blue boarding health code with "HS" logo (for Chinese citizens) or a blue health declaration QR code with "HDC" logo (for non-Chinese citizens) must truthfully upload the following Relevant materials to the Mini Program of the International Version of the Health Code for Epidemic Prevention (for Chinese citizens) or the webpage (https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/, for non-Chinese citizens):

  1. The first nucleic acid test report issued by JPMC Hospital or other nucleic acid testing institutions designated by the Brunei Ministry of Health.

  2. Electronic ticket.

Note: 1. Those who have been infected with the new crown must simultaneously upload two nucleic acid test reports confirming recovery.

2. Passengers who transfer to China via direct flights to China should upload the boarding health code issued by the embassy or consulate of the origin.

  (4) Examination and issuance of health codes.

Once the application for the health code of passengers on direct flights to China is approved by the Embassy in Brunei, a blue boarding health code or blue health status declaration QR code will be issued.

  (5) Boarding inspection.

Royal Brunei Airlines will check and release passengers with the blue boarding health code or blue health declaration QR code issued by the embassy and the original paper report of the second nucleic acid test.

Please note that the boarding health code or the QR code of the health declaration form is valid for boarding. If the flight is delayed, the airline will check the boarding health code or the QR code of the health declaration form according to the original departure time of the flight.

3. About Transit to China

The limit on the number of transfers to China has been cancelled, but passengers should apply for a boarding health code from the embassy or consulate at the place of origin and the place where the direct flight to China takes off.

Passengers who travel to China via other countries or regions with Brunei as their origin should apply for a boarding health code to the embassy in Brunei on time as required.

As Brunei International Airport does not have the conditions for new crown nucleic acid testing, please choose Brunei with caution.

If it is really necessary to transfer from Brunei to Brunei, please purchase a flight ticket to Brunei in advance, apply for a Brunei visa, and pay attention to the validity period of the visa.

4. Other matters
