Eskilstuna can now be put on the list of the 20 or so cities in the country that have their own wakeboard course.

Behind the project is the entrepreneur Roger Pihl who guided his vision through all the efforts involved and this spring he received the green light from Eskilstuna municipality.

Until next summer, the business will be developed with a bar on the island where construction work is currently underway.

- The plan is for us to build a bar so that Eskilstuna residents can feel like Swedes on holiday in Spain, says Roger Pihl.

"Quiet and environmentally friendly"

He runs the course together with Peter Valfridsson, who is also responsible for the wake park in Västerås.

Valfridsson is an experienced wakeboarder and has a number of Swedish Championship signs on his merit list.

- This is a really fun water activity that suits the whole family.

It is a quiet and environmentally friendly alternative, he says.
