The land around Långsjön has been in the family's possession for many years and the current owner Rolf Franzén is one of the key people in the work with the pike factory.
When agriculture developed in the area during the second half of the 20th century, the wetland dried up and grew again.
One of the goals of the project, in addition to "manufacturing" pike, has been to recreate the environment from the past.
