Last Friday, during a press conference at Roazhon Park, Stade Rennes coach Bruno Genesio indicated that the club was looking for a goalkeeper to replace Alfred Gomis, incumbent last season, who had not given full satisfaction.

Bruno Genesio had expressed his wish to recruit an "experienced" goalkeeper.

Steve Mandanda presents this profile, with 34 caps for the France team (32 starts, 22 wins) and monument status at OM where he played 610 matches, from 2007 to 2022.

Under the colors of OM, he won a French championship title in 2010 and three League Cups in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Mandanda, a native of Kinshasa (DRC) and trained in Le Havre, had a more delicate last season on the sporting level with competition from Pau Lopez in his position.

He was nevertheless a starter on May 14 with OM during the defeat of the Provençals at Roazhon Park (2-0) in the league.

On Wednesday morning, some OM supporters welcomed the departure of Steve Mandanda from Marseille-Marignane airport, according to images posted on social networks.

Stade Rennes players and staff are training in Dinard (Ille-et-Vilaine) this week.

Fourth in L1 last season, they qualified for the Europa League.
