Foreign Ministry: Russia has previously notified Indonesia about Putin's participation in the G20 summit

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

“In advance, they informed Jakarta about the intention of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to take part in it (G20 summit. -

),” the Foreign Ministry said. 

It is noted that the format of Putin's participation in the summit will depend on the development of the situation in the world and taking into account the sanitary and epidemiological situation in Southeast Asia.

Earlier, the Kremlin said that Russian President Vladimir Putin could attend the G20 summit in Indonesia in person.

There is still time to make a decision on this issue, it will be in Russia's interests.

Prior to this, Russian leader's aide Yuri Ushakov said that the Russian president had accepted Indonesia's invitation to join the G20 summit.
