He noted that since the beginning of the pandemic, the Chinese and Russian authorities have maintained close contacts through various means, and carried out timely and effective communication on bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry also stressed that the parties will continue to "develop exchanges at all levels", as well as comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction.
Earlier, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that media reports about the refusal of the President of China to come to Russia are not true.
The Kremlin stressed that there is a valid invitation for both Putin to visit China and Xi Jinping to visit Russia.
