"It's passion, gluttony, the + Great Bookstore of tomorrow +", declared François Busnel during the presentation conference for the return to France Télévisions, with his successor at his side.

Augustin Trapenard was in charge for eight seasons of the cultural program "Boomerang", broadcast in the morning at 9:00 a.m. on France Inter radio.

On television, the 43-year-old cultural journalist notably officiated on Canal +, where he presented the programs "Le Cercle", devoted to cinema, and "21 cm", on literature.

Mr. Trapenard left the encrypted channel in January 2021 and later hosted "Plumard", a literary program on the BrutX platform.

Mr. Busnel indicated that when he expressed his desire to leave the presentation, "the question immediately arose as to who was going to embody a + Large library + of tomorrow".

"The answer came very quickly," he said, assuring that the choice of Augustin Trapenard had been the subject of "consensus".

Created in 2008 and broadcast every Wednesday in the first part of the evening on France 5, "La grande bookstore" is the major literary event in the French television landscape.

François Busnel, of which it was Wednesday evening the last emission as presenter, remains however the producer.

In addition to this activity, he said he wanted to move towards “cinema and documentary”.
